Conny Roels

Conny's paintings emit light, structure and balance but above all they embody the elegance of "movement". While her portraits and compositions are rather photorealistic, she tends to surrealism too.

"One has to work hard to make progress", she says.
"I do not paint pictures and nor do I paint things that most people will jump to buy immediately. For me, what is most important is that people can make a pure emotional connection when they see my work. I prefer to capture and expose the fulltime range of human emotion.

Conny Roels has won several prizes in the competitive art exhibition of MAEKV ( Mérite Artistique Européen -Europese KunstVerdienste) in De Panne. She was awarded the Bronze award in 2014, followed by Silver in 2015 and in 2017 she obtained the Golden medal in the oils and acrylics on canvas category. Top of the bill she obtained the Palme d'Or being the overall winner across all categories! Let's not forget the Golden medal in Lissewege a few years ago (2015).
These recognitions encouraged her to target higher and higher. She has the intention to be a piece of the Belgian, yes the international art puzzle.
"Striving for the best is enormously important", she says herself "only by doing so you can make progress!".

Conny Roels joined several group exhibitions next to some solo ones, such as in Oudenaarde, Machelen/ Leie, Vilvoorde, Brasschaat, Frasnes les Anvaings, Brugge, ...

There is a permanent exposition in the Netherlands where a curator sees to it that the entire collection changes location from time to time. In 2017, she has set her sights on broader International recognition with exhibitions in Italy where she debuts her works in both Florence and Rome.

Conny is proud to have clients living at home in Belgium as well as a rapidly evolving international clientele.
